Healthy neighborhoods need healthy neighbors. That’s why LISC is involved with helping Indianapolis neighborhoods become greener, better places for kids of all ages to live, work, and play.LISC is at the forefront of green building projects in Indianapolis. We’re working with the Department of Metropolitan Development and community-based organizations around the city to develop housing alternatives that are not only affordable, but environmentally friendly, as well. Through our FOCUS program, we’ve also mapped brownfields in several neighborhoods and helped with incentives and remediation plans that turn once-contaminated areas into thriving business sites.
We are also pleased to support the NFL Grassroots Program, a partnership with the National Football League that provides nonprofit, community-based organizations with financial and technical assistance to improve the quality, safety, and accessibility of local football fields.
