Vision 20/20

Indianapolis LISC and Vision 20/20: Join the Celebration!

This year, as we celebrate 20 years of LISC helping neighborhoods build community, we want you to be a part of the celebration. With our Vision 20/20 Anniversary campaign, we’re reflecting on the great progress we’ve made and setting a clear vision for our future.

How can you join in?

Honor the people and places that make our urban neighborhoods great.

While LISC may not be a household word in Indianapolis yet, the people and places we’ve worked with to transform neighborhoods are local celebrities. Take a look at their stories here and check back often. We’re honoring 20 of these visions and visionaries in celebration of our 20 years.

Thanks for a great party!

We’d like to give one really big thank-you to everyone who joined our Vision 20/20 anniversary celebration in our new home: the Platform, in the West Wing of the City Market. We were overwhelmed by the incredible turnout, and we truly appreciate the support as we honored our visionaries, celebrated our past, and set the stage for a lot of great things to come in Indianapolis’s urban neighborhoods.

If you weren’t able to attend, you definitely won’t want to miss these videos. (If you did attend, you may want to watch them again!).

Huntington Bank presents, “Playing in the Streets” a First Friday event at the Harrision Center. Artists, musicians, performance artists, and students from Butler University express the particularity and creativity of Indy’s urban neighborhoods with original creations.  See exhibits, including featured work by Harrison Center Curator Kyle Ragsdale; hear local singer-songwriters; celebrate the 20th anniversary of LISC (Local Initiatives Service Corporation).

Visit The Platform.

As if all the celebrating weren’t enough, we’re also moving into the City Market. And in true LISC fashion, we’re not just moving. We created The Platform: a one-of-a-kind hub for people and organizations working to revitalize neighborhoods. Find out more here

Why should you support us? Great neighborhoods mean a more stable tax base, more people working, and fewer living in poverty. They help us attract and retain business. They make our city great. When you support LISC, you reach people where they live — literally. You touch their lives deeply, meaningfully, and memorably.
